Grim Sea is developing a ‘Semi-Demand Gas Reclaim’ system that increases safety, improves the diving experience and extends boundaries.
A unique counterlung allows the compressor and diver’s umbilical to be significantly reduced in size. The system is inherently reliable with only two moving parts in the main breathing circuit. A rebreather incorporated into the diver’s backpack provides several hours backup should the main system fail. Initial product release is planned mid 2010.
